one month and counting

It always makes my tummy get all jumbly inside when i dig out my whisper lite camp stove, refresh myself with the little bits and parts then move outside in the small concrete space between the houses. as i try to recall the assembly process, how it felt to pump the fuel into the stove and lite the match, it takes me far away from the concrete to the last mountain i was on when lighting it. I see the fuel build up in the basin on the bottom and as i am about to lite it the memories of lighting illegal fireworks come to mind....scary just in case it blows up in your face but if it works...beautiful.
today....one month from the day that i and a group of rag tag old ladies try to climb to the top of mt shasta...the soft whispering sound of the fuel combined with the warm blue flame and it was pure beauty! So with the testing of the stove the preparations begin.
